 “My
journey into the field of Energy Medicine was driven by my own
inner desire to heal the wounds that kept me from having the
joyful and passionate life that I knew was awaiting me. I always
knew that I wanted to help others in a caring and compassionate
way, but realized that in order to do so I had to work on healing
myself first. My own healing process has involved many different
modalities over the years, but it wasn’t until I was exposed to
energy healing that my process was greatly accelerated. The
awareness and connections that came through the healings were
amazing and opened me up to a whole new world of possibilities. I
saw the energy work as the way back to my authentic self; the
undefended self. It is a journey that continues for me on a daily
basis through everyone I meet.”Krista began her studies in
Energy Medicine at the Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences (IHAS)
back in 2000, after having received her Reiki I & II
certification. She graduated from IHAS in 2004 with a diploma as
an Energy Medicine Practitioner. During her training, Krista
completed two medical internships, one at The Hospital of Saint
Raphael’s Outpatient Oncology Department and the other at UConn’s
Women’s Health Clinic. It was through both these experiences when
Krista realized that hands-on healing would be the vehicle she
would use to assist others in their journey back to wholeness.
Soon after graduating from IHAS Krista went on to study Feng
Shui at The Feng Shui Alliance School (FSA) in New Jersey. This
new endeavor was prompted by her experience of seeing her own home
as a reflection of herself and her own healing process. Krista
received her certification as a Feng Shui Practitioner in January
2006. Wanting to deepen her knowledge of Feng Shui, she continued
on to do an advanced year of training at FSA.
In addition, Krista recently completed a three year training
program in Energy Medicine in May 2007 with Dr. Jacquelyn Kos,
chiropractor, acupuncturist, and healer. She has also mentored
along side Dr. Kos with her patients practicing Energy Medicine on
a vast variety of medical diagnosis. Krista believes that Dr. Kos
has taken her healing abilities to an even deeper level and has
opened her to an even greater reality for healing.
Krista believes that you can only take someone else as far as
you have gone yourself. It is this belief and her inner desire to
continually grow that she continues to deepen her knowledge in the
field of Feng Shui and Metaphysics through one-on-one mentoring
and continuing education and training.
Krista has taken advanced training classes with Eric Dowsett,
Jean Hanner, Teresa Polanco, Alex Stark and David Twicken. |
